Pemba is best reached by light aircraft, landing at Chake Chake airport (PMA). Local airlines include Zanair, Auric Air, Flightlink and As Salaam. Nearby international airports include Zanzibar, Dar Es Salaam and Nairobi. Some international flights connect well to Pemba while others require an overnight stop. Private charter flights are also available – contact details can be provided on request. We cannot accept any flight arrivals after 17h00, so please take this into account when booking flights. The ferry service from Zanzibar is unreliable. and there are no suitable road access.

Guests will be met at Chake Chake airport. The first stage of the transfer is by vehicle to the ferry port, Mkoani, which takes approximately 35-40 minutes. We then provide a private boat service to Fundu Lagoon, which takes 10-20 minutes depending on the tides.

We cannot accept any flight arrivals after 17h00, so please take this into account when booking flights.
